About

Camp Waipū Cove is a beachfront gem on the southern end of Bream Bay, just 90 minutes north of Auckland. It’s the perfect spot to escape the city and soak up Northland’s coastal vibes.

Camp right behind the dunes on powered or unpowered sites, or opt for a modern cabin if you want a bit of comfort. It’s just a few steps to Waipū Cove’s white sand beach—ideal for swimming, surfing, or catching the sunrise.

Access to the Waipū Coastal Walkway, featuring the famous pancake rocks, is just a few minutes away. Explore nearby attractions like the Waipū Caves (with glow worms!), Piroa Falls, and the Waipū Wildlife Reserve, or head into Waipū village for great food and coffee. Fishing, diving, and horse treks are all on offer too.

Camp Waipū Cove delivers classic Kiwi camping with stunning coastal views.
